TAG-101 Audio Signal Generator Unbox / Testing Amateur Hour

Why “Amateur Hour?” Because like an idiot I thought I could just fire up my scope and it would just do what I wanted. No. I forgot that this stupid digital scope has to be worked in a certain way, and like an idiot, I didn’t do it. I finally remembered by the end of the video, as you can see by the thumbnail, but jeez, that was dumb.

This is the TAG-101 analog audio signal generator. I have a need for something like this to help me work on some amplifier circuits that you’ll hopefully see soon. Here’s the link (affiliate) to Amazon:

It arrived in less than pristine condition, which honestly doesn’t bother me. Have you seen the rest of my crap?

It does pretty much what its supposed to do. Spit out either a sine wave or square wave at audible frequencies, with a variable voltage. Nothing else really.

So there it is.
